Methodology
Methodology and Sources
GadNest guides are built from primary, publicly available sources rather than secondhand summaries.
Primary sources we rely on
- Standards bodies: Bluetooth SIG, the Wi-Fi Alliance, USB-IF, the Wireless Power Consortium, the Connectivity Standards Alliance (Matter), the Zigbee Alliance.
- Government and standards agencies: the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), GPS.gov.
- Professional and research bodies: IEEE and IEEE Spectrum, the Audio Engineering Society, SMPTE.
- Manufacturer technical documentation and established university engineering references.
How a guide is built
Each guide starts from the general engineering principle behind a feature, checked against the sources above, then simplified for a reader with no technical background. Every guide lists its sources and shows the date it was published and the date it was last reviewed.
Limitations
Explanations on GadNest are deliberately simplified. Exact implementations vary between manufacturers and change over time. GadNest guides are not repair manuals, not medical guidance, and not a substitute for official documentation from a device's manufacturer.
